In a dream, you meet something nice and sparkly. And then it chomps your head off.

More shots. From the back, Close-ups on tail and head...
This thing is heavy. XD

About 24 to 30 hours to make this.

Agate bead, glass faceted beads, hematite-coloured glass balls, glass claws, some blue and black/hematite swarovski crystals.Metal horns on the tail - a buckle.
Seed beads - green silver-lined(size 11), clear silver-lined (15, 11, 8 and triangles), frosted black(15, 11) and jet black (8).
Also braided fishing line.

Oh wow.

I'm a bit into friendship bracelets patterns and crude wire dragon sculptures (right, I have to post these to dA one day, I think I have only the biggest one up) but this is beautiful.
Note to self: look into beadwork one of these days, so far my contact with it was mostly limited to playing with the tiny crocodile my friend had hanging from her mobile. She says I molest it :P

Nice to see a deviant who does something more original with dragons for a change and who is actually amazing at what she does :)

Hehe, beadwork is fun :fuzzydemon: You could try combining it with wire sculpture, i think result would be very interesting=D

It looks like endlessly frustrating, painstaking work that requires copious amounts of truly divine patience :P Sounds like me when I'm bored, all right :D

Combine it with wire you say? I was just thinking of picking up wire-weaving again as soon as I get some free time... I might try to use it for the wing membrane or something. Definitely going to look into it now :D
